The biggest opinions of this whole movement is the opinions of "The Big Three". The companies say it unfair, American companies can come in and offer lower prices because they don’t have to build towers and underground
wires. Canadian companies wouldn't get that advantage if they were to go over to the states. As well, companies like Bell and Rodgers are limited to 10 Megahertz a spectrum, which is the life of their company, American companies like Verizon can get up to 2x that which is unfair. Opinions say federal government should had made this move a long time ago because "the industry is completely hamstrung". |
Some opinions say that the government set up the situation to allow American companies to come into Canada, only for smaller companies like wind mobile, not expecting bigger companies like Verizon, 4x the size of The Big Three combined to offer up. "The Big Three" say they are okay with Verizon coming into Canada, they just want it to be a level playing field.
The third opinion of some citizens is that we don't need four competiting companies. We just need one solid player to give us the plans we need for a good price. Most of the articles you will find on the internet are leading and convince you to believe their opinion on what's right. "Everyone is sad" was one opinion in an article when Verizion announced they weren't coming. |
